Shabbat Shalom!

Genesis 2:1-3

Thus the heavens and the earth were completed, and all their array. 

2 And on the seventh day Elohim completed His work which He had done, 

and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made. 

3 And Elohim blessed the seventh day and set it apart, because on it 

He rested from all His work which Elohim in creating had made.

Exodus 20:8-11

“Remember the Sabbath day, to set it apart. 

9 “Six days you labor, and shall do all your work, 

10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath of YHVH your Elohim. You do not do any work – 

you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant,

 nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates.

11 “For in six days YHVH made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, 

and rested the seventh day. Therefore YHVH blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart.

Exodus 31:13,16-17

“And you, speak to the children of Yisra’el, saying,

 ‘My Sabbaths you are to guard, by all means, for it is a sign between Me 

and you throughout your generations, to know that I, YHVH, am setting you apart.

 ‘And the children of Yisra’el shall guard the Sabbath, to observe the

 Sabbath throughout their generations as an everlasting covenant. 

17 ‘Between Me and the children of Yisra’el it is a sign forever. For in six days YHVH

made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed."
