How to be part of the mission

Psalms 41:1-3
Blessed is he who considers the poor; YHVH does deliver him in a day of evil.
Psa 41:2 YHVH does guard him and keep him alive; He is blessed on the earth,
And You do not hand him over To the desire of his enemies.
Psa 41:3 YHVH sustains him on his sickbed; In his weakness on his bed You bring a change.

James 1:27
Clean and undefiled religion before the Elohim and Father is this: to visit orphans
and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.

This mom and daughther are some of the indiginous people here that are in need.
The mom is eight months preganant and they have nothing for the baby.
The daughter(on the left) is one of the girls that you blessed with clothing.

We’ve found a great way others can help those in need here in Costa Rica.   Particularly the area we now live in (which is one of the poorer areas in Costa Rica)
We have a shipper who has been very kind and generous and will help us getting the stuff to Costa Rica.  There are also several generous families who live in Florida near the shipper who have volunteered their services.
The plan is to have you guys in the states, whoever wants to help, send items to the families in Florida (thus saving yourselves a LOT of money rather than shipping it to Costa Rica).   Those families are going to repack everything in large boxes (to save on shipping so everything’s together) and will drive the boxes to our shipper once everything is there.
We’ve complied a list of things that are needed here.   If you would like to help, please email me at ourtreasureisinheaven@yahoo.com and I will get you the address to mail items too.
The items do NOT have to be new.   Search garage sales!
Dollar Tree is a GREAT place to stock up on things.

new women’s underwear (small/medium/large and extra large)

new men’s underwear (small/medium)
rubber boots
  children to adult
  both men and women
  any rain gear

tupperware type items
(3 times the price in Costa Rica)… the cheap dollar store type stuff is great..

Shabbat cups
Menorah and candles
cookie sheets for Challah
guitar strings and picks
*one of our goals is to “dress the town” *
If you think you’ve seen immodest, come to Costa Rica!   Seriously, modest clothing is a huge need here..Several of the women have taken an interest in the way we dress. Our goal is
to offer every woman and girl a skirt if she is willing to wear them and a top that
actually covers something. Of course it is not only the clothes we are offering but
Abba’s Word as well. Please help us in this.
We would prefer skirts or/and nice pants/jeans that can be made into skirtsMrs. Suzanne McDaniel is willing to make the skirts) additional elastic and thread please
tops and blouses that are modest and offer coverage or can be layered with another top.
The needs are certainly not limited by this list. Really, whatever anyone wants to send. We would
like you to evaluate what you send please. Modest clothing, no short shorts, no Christmas supplies
please or pagan holidays, etc., no graven images, you get the idea. We are trying to teach as we give.
If you would like to share a link to this post, or do up a post on your blog about this it would be very much appreciated as well.   Thank you SO very much for this everyone...   It’s humbling to be in this position to help others and we pray we use this position wisely.
Shalom!

Through the Feasts Part 3 of 3- A Great Blessing!

The last fall feast of the year is Sukkot. It can be found in Leviticus 23:33-44:

And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying,
Lev 23:34 "Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, saying, ‘On the fifteenth day of this seventh month is the Festival of Booths for seven days to YHVH.
Lev 23:35 ‘On the first day is a set-apart gathering, you do no servile work.
Lev 23:36 ‘For seven days you bring an offering made by fire to YHVH. On the eighth day there shall be a set-apart gathering for you, and you shall bring an offering made by fire to YHVH.
It is a closing festival, you do no servile work.
Lev 23:37 ‘These are the appointed times of YHVH which you proclaim as set-apart gatherings, to bring an offering made by fire to YHVH, a burnt offering and a grain offering, a slaughtering and drink offerings, as commanded for every day –
Lev 23:38 besides the Sabbaths of YHVH, and besides your gifts, and besides all your vows, and besides all your voluntary offerings which you give to YHVH.
Lev 23:39 ‘On the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you gather in the
fruit of the land, observe the festival of YHVH for seven days.
On the first day is a rest, and on the eighth day a rest.
Lev 23:40 ‘And you shall take for yourselves on the first day the fruit of good trees, branches of palm trees, twigs of leafy trees, and willows of the stream, and shall rejoice before
Lev 23:41 ‘And you shall observe it as a festival to YHVH for seven days in the year-
a law forever in your generations. Observe it in the seventh month.
Lev 23:42 ‘Dwell in booths for seven days; all who are native Yisra’ĕlites dwell in booths,
Lev 23:43 so that your generations know that I made the children of Yisra’ĕl dwell in booths when I brought them out of the land of Mitsrayim. I am YHVH your Elohim.’ "

It is the feast in which Yahshua, our Messiah, was born.

John 1:14
And the Word was made flesh, and pitched His tent(Tabernacled) among us,
and we saw His esteem,
esteem as of an only brought forth of the Father, complete in favour and truth.

It is also the wedding feast, where we are married with our bridegroom, Yahshua. HalleluYAH!

This Sukkot we went to Heredia, about 45 minutes of San Jose. We helped do the children's program and cooking. It was a great blessing for us and for the kids because it was the first time in a while that they were able to do something like what we did. Here are some pics:

We had been praying to know a family in Panama to visit for when we did our border runs. Praise YHVH and what a surprise to find such a wonderful family at Sukkot. Betsy and I made an immeadiate conection and Christopher and Kevin had a great time together as well. We are so excited and looking forward to being able to visit them on our next trip to Panama.

Shalom!

Through the Feasts Part 2 of 3- Sharing the love of our Messiah

The next feast is Yom Kippur. It is found in Leviticus 23:26-32:

And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying,
Lev 23:27 "On the tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement. It shall be a set-apart gathering for you. And you shall afflict your beings, and shall bring an offering made by fire to יהוה.
Lev 23:28 "And you do no work on that same day, for it is the Day of Atonement,
to make atonement for you before יהוה your Elohim.
Lev 23:29 "For any being who is not afflicted on that same day, he shall be cut off from his people.
Lev 23:30 "And any being who does any work on that same day,
that being I shall destroy from the midst of his people.
Lev 23:31 "You do no work – a law forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
Lev 23:32 ‘It is a Sabbath of rest to you, and you shall afflict your beings.
On the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening to evening, you observe your Sabbath."

It is the feast of repentance. A time to ask YHVH for forgiveness for what we have done wrong against Him and His Torah. It is the final chance to look at ourselves before the bridegroom comes for the wedding.
If we are not prepared we will be like the women without oil in their lamps, and we will miss out.

For the past 2 years we have been doing the fast of Isaiah 58:

"Cry aloud, do not spare. Lift up your voice like a ram’s horn.
Declare to My people their transgression, and the house of Yaʽaqoḇ their sins.
Isa 58:2 "Yet they seek Me day by day, and delight to know My ways,
as a nation that did righteousness, and did not forsake the right-ruling of their Elohim.
They ask of Me rulings of righteousness, they delight in drawing near to Elohim.
3 They say, ‘Why have we fasted, and You have not seen?
Why have we afflicted our beings, and You took no note?’
"Look, in the day of your fasting you find pleasure, and drive on all your labourers.
Isa 58:4 "Look, you fast for strife and contention, and to strike with the fist of wrongness.
You do not fast as you do this day, to make your voice heard on high.
Isa 58:5 "Is it a fast that I have chosen, a day for a man to afflict his being? Is it to bow down his head like a bulrush, and to spread out sackcloth and ashes? Do you call this a fast, and an acceptable day to יהוה?
Isa 58:6 "Is this not the fast that I have chosen: to loosen the tight cords of wrongness, to undo the bands of
the yoke, to exempt the oppressed, and to break off every yoke?
Isa 58:7 "Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, and that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; when you see the naked, and cover him, and not hide yourself from your own flesh?
Isa 58:8 "Then your light would break forth like the morning, your healing spring forth speedily. And your
righteousness shall go before you, the esteem of יהוה would be your rear guard.
Isa 58:9 "Then, when you call, יהוה would answer; when you cry, He would say, ‘Here I am.’ "If you take
away the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger, and the speaking of unrighteousness,
Isa 58:10 if you extend your being to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted being,
then your light shall dawn in the darkness, and your darkness be as noon.
Isa 58:11 "Then יהוה would guide you continually, and satisfy your being in drought,
and strengthen your bones. And you shall be like a watered garden,
and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.
Isa 58:12 "And those from among you shall build the old waste places. You shall raise up the
foundations of many generations. And you would be called the Repairer of the Breach,
the Restorer of Streets to Dwell In.

The fast that YHVH wants isn't to starve ourselves for a day, cry aloud and to look foolish. That is what the Pharrises did during Yahshua's time. He wants us to HELP others. He wants us to give out of what we have and give it to the people who need it most. Loving your neighbour, loving YHVH,
on which hangs all the Torah and Prophets. Amein!

So anyway, we went to El Duruy and gave some food
and clothing to the people who needed it most.

Through the Feasts Part 1 of 3

Shalom family in Messiah! Sorry I haven't been updating lately, but have been busy with all that is going on, from building the house to celebrating the feasts of YHVH. I am going to do this in 3 parts, each part for a different feast, Yom Teruah, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot.

Let's get started!

The 1st feast was Yom Teruah, the feast of Trumpets. It is found in the Torah in Leviticus 23:24-25.
"Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, saying, ‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you have a rest, a remembrance of blowing of trumpets, a set-apart gathering.

It is the call of the bridegroom, telling us to get prepared for our bridegroom, Yahshua.

We had a great time. We invited some of the community of El Duruy to come. Here are some pics.

Most of the women sitting at the table

Singing and Dancing like David!

These next 2 pics are funny! I decided to do Father Abraham with the kids. At first they didn't get it, but once they realized the moves, they had a LOT of fun!
Me too!
Having a good time!

We were very blessed by the time we had and the people learned a lot. Pray that we have more oppurtunities with them and that they will be willing to listen.

Shalom!
