Challah Covers

Shalom brothers and sisters in Messiah!
We pray that you are all doing well and that YHVH is using you for His glory!

Sukkot is finally here! We are so excited when it comes
to this time because we know we are rehearsing for the day that we will
be together with our King and take part of the Marriage Supper
of the Lamb with Him and be with Him FOREVER!!

Anyway, we are also excited to show you some of the new things that
our dear wife/mom Sister Tammy and our dear Sister Benilda have made, Challah Covers!

On to the pictures!
__________________________________________________________________________

Pictures(animals, Challah Cover, Etc.) 170 (2)Pictures(animals, Challah Cover, Etc.) 173 (2)

These are hand-made crocheted and embroidered Challah Covers that Sister Tammy and Sister Benilda have made. They love doing things with their hands and the things that they do always look like a work of art!*

Keep reading to see how they are made:

Pictures(animals, Challah Cover, Etc.) 009

Our wonderful wife/mom is the one who came up with this beautiful design(well, sort of LOL).
She has such a knack for beautiful art in crocheting and embroidering.
In fact, she actually got a college scholarship, and while she may not like to say
much about it, we think she has done a beautiful job and that YHVH has really
blessed her with the ability to do things with a needle
and some thread that many of us couldn’t even dream of doing.

Pictures(animals, Challah Cover, Etc.) 025 Pictures(animals, Challah Cover, Etc.) 028

Our dear Sister Benilda has done some great embroidering and this is just
one of the examples. She has blessed us so much with everything that she has done.
A part of each donation for the Challah Covers goes to bless Sister Benilda
for the time that she has put in to help us make each one of these Challah Covers.
She loves to do things with her hands and she is so fast Sister Tammy can’t keep up with her LOL!

 Pictures(animals, Challah Cover, Etc.) 137

These two sisters are working hard there, aren’t they? But they love to do it because
they know how much of a blessing it will be to someone.

If you would like one of these Challah Covers, please go to the
Mayim Chayim Facebook Page(link below) or write in the comment box
on this blogpost and let us know so we can give you more information on how to get one.
Right now there are only those two colors, however they are making
several more in different colors. If there is a specific group of colors that
you might want, please ask so that they can see if they have
those colors , as it is much harder to get more thread and yarn here:

May YHVH bless you for your gift!
_______________________________________________________________________

Please pray for our servant family. We are in the process of possibly getting
a visa to stay here for an extended period of time so please pray for the
provision to be able to pay for it. We know that YHVH is in control and that
His will WILL be done in this matter but we REALLY need your prayer at this time.

Sukkot Family Picture

It’s easy to forget about one another in this fast-paced, never-seeming-to-stop way
we call life, and one of the best ways to remember one another is through
picture form, so feel more than welcome to print this out.

We pray that you all have a great Sukkot and that YHVH
will bless you and make you a great blessing in the lives of the people around you!

Until next time…

Shalom!

*In case you are not sure what those letters are on the Challah Covers, they are Hebrew letters and mean
‘Shabbat Shalom’, or roughly translated in English as‘Peaceful day of Rest’ or ‘Peaceful Sabbath’, although really it goes much deeper than that.*

Rags 2 Modesty

2Corinthians 3:18
And we all, as with unveiled face we see as in a mirror the esteem of YHVH, are being
transformed into the same likeness from esteem to esteem, as from YHVH, the Spirit.

How thankful I am that our Father has given me a creative gift to use for His Glory.
Over a year ago Suzanne introduced me to making skirts from pants. Since then I’ve probably
made over 30 to give away and Bless others. What started out as doing something nice for
someone has turned into a “Modesty” ministry, an open door for teaching about 1 Corinthians 6:19-20.
Our life is truly not our own and we are bought with a price. As women weather young or old
we will stand before judgment to answer if we have been a stumbling block for our brother.

No scrap of material is safe in my hands! I’ve discovered that both young and old
are willing to trade in their jeans(holes and all) for a recycled skirt.

Shh…this one is made from a pair of Christopher’s shorts that I got tired of fixing!

An old pair of jeans has become a beautiful full “hip” skirt.

Had to try my hand at embroidery after watching a sister and
decided it made a really nice patch for a torn skirt.

Filadelfia and Shawl Pictures 002
Hmm…this seems to be inspired from my “Tree of Righteousness Shawl.”

Reina Skirt skirt3skirt4
Reina and Selena each gave me a pair of jeans to make a skirt with and a matching head covering.
They do look beautiful don’t they?

And of course their Mom Mayra didn’t want to be left out.

Skirt skirt7
This skirt was a trade with a young lady whose skirts were a little too short!
She was quite happy with this one and has asked me to make her another one.

Town, Farm, and Recipe Pictures 047
After making several for Mayra and her girls I told her it was time she learned to make her own skirts.
 She did a beautiful job.

 Filadelfia and Shawl Pictures 015
Check out the beautiful embroidery on this denim skirt. This is not store bought.
A very beloved sister in Panama did this for me after I recycled several of her and her daughters skirts.

Although it’s hard to see, this is a top someone had given us with a couple a small stains on it. I just embroidered some cute little flowers on top of them.

These black bermudas are my latest project for a young lady.

As a worn out old pair of jeans are transformed into something new, creative and useable,
we pray that the lives of each one of these ladies, both young and old,
will transformed and conformed to our Creator’s as well.

Romans 12:2
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you prove what is that good and well-pleasing and perfect desire of Elohim.

Titus 2:3-5
The older women likewise are to be set-apart in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of what is good, in order for them to train the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sensible, blameless, workers at home, good, subject to their own husbands, in order that the word of Elohim is not evil spoken of.

If you are interested in promoting and supporting modesty, and would like to help us in this endeavor,
you can make a donation through our donation button at the lower right side of the page or visit our site at Mayim Chayim Inspirations.

Until next time...

Shalom!

Baruch Mishpacha/ We have visitors!

Shalom brothers and sisters in Messiah! I pray that you will all have a
blessed Shabbat and that YHVH will bless your Mishpacha(Family) as well.
.....................................................................................................................................

Now, on to the pictures!

 Psalms 133:1
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

It is always good to have family, spiritually or physically.
And it’s even better when we are all following YHVH and guarding His right-ruling.
We were very blessed last Shabbat to have a family come up from town, especially a
family like brother Reynaldo and sister Mayra’s, as well as a young man named Luis.
We also have a VERY special visitor from New Jersey, our dear, dear Cousin Jenny.
She has been blessed not just spiritually, but physically in a large way.

Getting ready to start Shabbat.

Exodus 20:8
“Remember the Sabbath day, to set it apart.

It is always a blessing to go through
what the bread and the fruit of the vine mean and how Yahshua fulfilled being
the bread of life and the blood of the renewed covenant.

DSC01441
Christian blowing the Shofar to enter in the Shabbat

Psalms 89:15
Blessed are the people Who know the blowing trumpet-call!
They walk, O YHVH, in the light of Your face.

. Shabbat is always a special time, physically and spiritually, resting from work
and learning from Yah’s Torah of everlasting life. HalleluYAH!

DSC01447
My mom teaching Dona Mayra and her girls how to do Hebrew dances.

Dancing to YHVH was and still is very important part of worship.
There were Levites that danced in the Temple, and King David danced when they brought the
Ark of the Covenant back to Jerusalem. Dancing is a large part of rejoicing and praising YHVH,
as David states in Psalms 149:

Psalms 149:1-4
Praise Yah! Sing to YHVH a new song, His praise in an assembly of kind ones.
Let Yisra’el rejoice in their Maker; Let the children of Zion exult in their Sovereign.
Let them praise His Name in a dance; Let them sing praises to Him with the tambourine and lyre.
For YHVH takes pleasure in His people; He embellishes the meek ones with deliverance.

DSC01437 My dad teaching our cousin Jenny a bit about the Scriptures.

We should learn from the Scriptures always, but Shabbat is that special time for us
where we read from the Torah and see how it applies to us today, as well as looking
for little jots and tittles that point us to Messiah and how the Torah was literally lived through Him.
Amen! She has been healed by hearing His Torah. Ears that hear!

Romans 10:17
So then belief comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Elohim.

DSC01450
Our view behind our house.

Shabbat also gives us a time to stop and look at YHVH’s beautiful creation.
YHVH created everything in six days, and on the seventh day He rested and blessed all His work.

So when we look at and see YHVH’s blessing all around us, from the sky, grass, and trees to the food, family, and fellowship, let us all praise YHVH in whatever way we can so that He may be glorified!
 ......................................................................................................................................................

YHVH has gratefully allowed our beloved Cousin Jenny to come down from New Jersey.
This is the first time we have had a family member visiting from the States, so it makes it even more special.

 DSC01466
Cousin Jenny’s testimony of life!

My mom and Cousin Jenny. Cousin Jenny was born almost completely deaf.
She, like all children that are deaf, learned how to read lips and do sign language,
and with the partial hearing that she did have was able to learn how to speak well.
She had what you would call an average life like anyone else, until a couple of years ago.

DSC01415
Cousin Jenny and my mom walking down a steep hill.

Three years ago, she had an ear infection. It got so bad that it impaled the rest of her hearing,
making her totally deaf. More than six months later she went into surgery to have an artificial
hearing system put behind her ear. Thankfully it worked, but during her surgery she had a
stroke and another small one several months afterwards as well. This has left the left side of her
body very weak and she couldn’t walk without a cane and a person standing next to her. About 5-6
months ago we started praying about making plans to bring her  here, and finally, August 13th, she came.

Philippians 4:13
I have strength to do all, through Messiah who empowers me.

DSC01490DSC01533
Cousin Jenny taking corn of the cob and learning how to make tortillas.

In just the days she has been here we have seen a HUGE difference.
When she came here she was very tired and couldn’t walk by herself, but now by just being here
she has gone through some amazing changes. She can walk by herself quickly with a cane,
helps a lot around the house, and for the past 3 days has been taking a BUNCH of
corn off the cob for food,  for the chicken’s and for us. She has also been blessed spiritually,
learning about the ancient paths and the forgotten truth of the Scriptures.

Jeremiah 17:14
Heal me, O YHVH, so that I am healed. Save me, so that I am saved, for You are my praise.

DSC01509DSC01529

With her here she has been blessed so much, physically and spiritually, and we have been so
blessed by her company. Pray for her continual healing and that when she goes back
to the States that she can be a living testimony, a miracle to the rest of the family of just how big
of a blessing it is to live the way YHVH wants us to live, whether by the foods we eat,
keeping Shabbat, or just walking, breathing, seeing, and living in YHVH’s beauty everyday.

Jeremiah 32:17-19
‘Ah, Master YHVH! See, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is no matter too hard for You,
18  who show kindness to thousands, and repay the crookedness of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them – the Great, the Mighty El, YHVH of hosts is His Name,
19  great in counsel and mighty in work, for Your eyes are open to all the ways of the sons of men, to give everyone according to his ways and according to the fruit of his deeds.

Until next time, from our Mishpacha to yours…

Shalom!

Mattithyahu/Matthew 28:19-20
“Therefore, go and make taught ones of all the nations, immersing them in the Name
of the Father and of the Son and of the Set-apart Spirit, teaching them to guard all that
I have commanded you. And see, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”
 Amen.

The land of Brotherly Love! Part 4 of ? Week 3

Heb 13:1
Let brotherly love(Philadelphia) continue.

Shalom brothers and sisters in Messiah!
Praying that you all had a blessed and peaceful Shabbat.
We got back to the farm this week but I wanted to finish
showing you some of the things we did and saw in Filadelfia.
Sooo... here we go!
_________________________________________________________________________

Songs of Solomon 2:11-12
“For look, the winter is past, the rain is over, gone.
12  “The flowers have appeared in the earth; The time of singing has come,
And the voice of the turtledove has been heard in our land.

YHVH's beauty is amazing! He made some incredible things, didn't he?
From the trees that give fruit, to the flower bushes, His beauty is EVERYWHERE! HalleluYAH!!
________________________________________________________________________

While we were there, we taught them how to make a few recipes, cooked and raw.
But by far everyone's favorite thing was....

MUFFINS!! We made muffins 4 times on the trip.
Everyone loved them and Briana had enough
left over so she could take some to school everyday. Yum!!
 _________________________________________________________________________

Then it was time for Shabbat. My mom is a good bread maker,
but she doesn't make Challah when we are at the farm
(Mrs. Suzanne McDaniel does it most of the time).
So she doesn't have a ton of practice braiding the challah just right.
But finally the 3rd time she made a challah that she would let me take a picture of(☺).

 John 6:35,47-48
 And Yahshua said to them,
“I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall not get hungry at all,
and he who believes in Me shall not get thirsty at all.
47  “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me possesses everlasting life.
48  “I am the bread of life.

Spending Shabbat together. And we had a visitor once again.

Psalms 133:1
See how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity...
 ________________________________________________________________________

The next day for lunch Mrs. Ramirez made...
SOUP!! It was cooked on the fire so it made it even better tasting.

After that, my parents and the Ramirez's went out to go look for a car.
They have one but it isn't very big and they needed another one...
This van was "interesting". This "big" old van that can fit a bunch of people,
with tires that are, well... not very big... Haha!!
By the time bro Ramirez came with the sales person dad had this Chevy Sold to Mrs. Ramirez!
But we had to "switch" to a less expensive Hyundai.
She liked this one a lot, but, well,
let's say it was a "wee bit" too far out of their price range,
like I don't know, DOUBLE the price!!
Sooo... this car is still for sale... .
________________________________________________________________________

There was one other thing we did in this 3rd week we were there.
We played...

PINGPONG!! Yep on the dinning room table with candles as the middle.
My dad, Briana, and I were the ones that played most of the time but by the end of our trip Christopher, Briana's oldest brother Alfredo, and one of his friends got into the act.
It was a lot of fun!

Well, another week had past and we only had a couple more days to go.
But these last few days were really good.
That though will be the next blogpost.

Until then...

Shalom!

Mayim Chayim

John 7:37-38
And on the last day, the great day of the festival, Yahshua stood and cried out, saying,
“If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me, and let him who believes in Me drink.
38  “As the Scripture said, out of His innermost shall flow rivers of Mayim Chayim(living water).”

My mom is doing such a great job with the things that she makes with her hands.
She has such a heart to make these things to bless others.
Please bless her by commenting on her site
and if you can, please buy one of the shawls.

Prayer shawls make special gifts for those who are suffering.
They can be comforting to the sick and elderly.
Our tallits come with matching tzitziot and most come with a head covering.
All of these shawls are made with great love and care.
You will be blessed as you bless our family,
while allowing us to go and share the truth with others.

If you want to help but don't have the finances to do it, the best way to support us is by sharing our websites on the internet(Blogspot, Facebook, etc.). It would be such a blessing!

Speaking of Facebook, we have just made a new Facebook page for my mom's site!

Check it out here, like the page, and share it with others:Mayim Chayim Inspirations

Shalom and may YHVH bless you!

Here are the ones she has available RIGHT NOW! Click the pictures to see the link.

Panama Trip Part 1- The Beauty of Panama

We had to go on a border run 2 weeks ago to Panama. We had to take a bus from a nearby town named Penthurst to the border named Sixaola and from the border to 1 town named Changuinola and another bus to another town named David and THEN another bus to the town where we were going to named Boquete.
Total time it SHOULD take: 9hrs. 30 mins.
Of COURSE if something happens that a taximan tricks us at the border, then drops us off in a place where we weren't supposed to be, then we get stuck for 3 1/2 hrs waiting for 4 buses to pass with no seats, THEN finally getting a bus where we had to STAND for an hr and a half(I wasn't feeling good!), WELL.... then it takes:
 13 HOURS!!

BUT we had a good time, and Panama is VERY beautiful.
Here are some beautiful pics from Panama:

Psalms 72:3
Let the mountains bring peace to the people,
And the hills, by righteousness.
This is a VERY cool mountain. It's name is get this: Mount BARUCH! It is 1/2 an hr. away from get this: DAVID!! Cool!

Psalms 1:3
For he shall be as a tree
Planted by the rivers of water,
That yields its fruit in its season,
And whose leaf does not wither,
And whatever he does prospers.

My beautiful Mom!

What a.... hmmm... can someone please give me the word for this...??? Comments anyone??

Songs of Solomon 2:12
The flowers have appeared in the earth
The time of singing has come
And the voice of the turtledove has been heard in our land.

Psalms 148:7,9
Praise YHVH from the earth,
You great sea creatures and all the depths,
9 The mountains and all hills,
Fruit tree and all cedars,
This is a COOL pineapple!

These Oranges are as small as a quarter!

Psalms 98:8
Let the rivers clap their hands
Let the mountains sing together for joy before YHVH...

The town by the river.
 Psalms 127:3
LOOK, children are an inheritance from YHVH,
The fruit of the womb is the reward.
Genesis 1:28a
And Elohim blessed them, and Elohim said to them,
“Bear fruit and increase, and fill the earth and subdue it,

My mom thought these dresses were so amazing, and when we learned more about this lady, we were even more impressed! The lady in the middle is the mother of 9 GIRLS and 23 GRANDKIDS! She definitely has the "Be fruitful and multiply" down! Very happy family as you can see.

Talking more with them about the dresses. In Panama there are a LOT of local Indigenous tribes . Most of the women wear these dresses, and guess what? They handmade them themselves!

2 of the lady's daughters and one of her grandsons.

More VERY modestly dressed Panamanian Indians.
We were very blessed to be there. The next post will be about the family we stayed with and some more pictures. Until then...
